The Galicia Innovation and Design Awards recognise Alén Space for its renowned innovative activity

The Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) organised and held the third edition of the Galician Innovation and Design Awards, aimed at recognising local talent and promoting corporate innovation as a way of building a robust business fabric in the autonomous community.

Alén Space, with a long history of technological advances in the field of small satellites, was named best innovative SME, thus rewarding its work and socio-economic activity in favour of national society. Centum Research & Technology and Little Electric Car España, both known for their commitment to innovative culture in their respective sectors, competed in the same category.

The award ceremony was attended by Guillermo Lamelas, CEO of the small satellite company, to collect this distinction from Francisco Conde, first vice-president and responsible of Economy, Industry and Innovation of the Xunta de Galicia.

In addition to Alén Space, there were other winners (companies and entrepreneurs) according to the different categories of design and innovation: Isaac Piñeiro Miera (Professionals), UNVI (Companies), Sara Regal Alonso (Emerging Talent), CEAMSA, (Innovation in Large Companies), and Catalina Fernández de Ana Portela (Innovative Trajectory).
