Alén Space Passes to the ViaGalicia Program Academy

On May 23, ViaGalicia, acceleration program for entrepreneurship, opened the call for its 4th edition promoted by the Zona Franca Consortium of Vigo, attracting the registration of a total of 236 projects, including Alén Space.

In the Startup Day, the second phase of the ViaGalicia program, a series of group activities were developed in order to deepen the knowledge about our team and our work habits regarding 5 main skills: leadership, communication, team work, ability to negotiate and creativity.

Once again, the team’s effort has been rewarded. Alén Space has been classified among the 40 groups selected to access the third phase of the ViaGalicia program, which will run between October 28 and January 14, 2017. Becoming part of ViaGalicia does not only mean to have the support and experience of real experts, but also means the possibility of accessing certain sources of funding, both from ViaGalicia and other potential interested investors.

At Alén Space, aware of the potential that our project could develop as a business, we opted to take advantage of this opportunity and participate in the registration and evaluation processes.

Thanks to aspects such as the degree of innovation, the degree of relevance and the degree of solidity that our project presented, Alén Space had worked to be among the 80 shortlisted projects to face the second phase of the process, Startup Day, after which only half of the candidates, among whom was Alén Space, were summoned for the third phase, the Academy.

At the Academy we can strengthen our training in the discipline of business entrepreneurship, both through the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge, which in combination with our knowledge about nanosatellites, will facilitate our evolution in the market.
