An intensive week at Industry Space Days and at Naukas 2018
September 14, 2018
These were hectic days of congresses and conferences for Alén Space. This week we took part in Noordwijk (Netherlands) in the seventh edition of the Industry Space Days (ISD) of the European Space Agency (ESA) and gave a conference on New Space and nanosatellites at Naukas 2018 in Bilbao, as a part of its scientific dissemination programme.
The Industry Space Days are the most important B2B event in Europe dedicated to space technology, products, and services. With 15,500 meetings and 1,700 participants from 39 countries, including our colleagues Diego Nodar and Guillermo Lamelas, between the 11th and 12th of September the ISD brought together the main European stakeholders in the space industry: a perfect opportunity for networking and making new contacts.
We also made the most of our presence at Naukas 2018. Our colleague Aarón Nercellas gave a conference on 13 September about nanosatellites and New Space in the Euskalduna Palace, with a replica of a nanosatellite under his arm. This model of CubeSat drew a lot of attention in Bilbao, and became one of the protagonists of an event that included an interview for the programme ‘La Mecánica del Caracol’, on Radio Euskadi.
