Alén Space takes part in the finals of the Everis Awards and South Summit

A week of finals for Alén Space. Our colleagues Guillermo Lamelas and Antón Vázquez travelled to Madrid to represent us at the Everis 2018 Awards, and in the Startup Competition of South Summit. This was an excellent opportunity to present the consultation, design, manufacturing, and operating services for nanosatellites of Alén Space, at two leading events for fostering entrepreneurship and talent. During the week a large number of the most innovative startups in the world met up in Madrid.
The Everis Awards organised their grand final on Tuesday 2 October, a final phase in which Alén Space took part as one of the six finalists, selected from amongst 1000 candidates in 20 countries. After the presentation of the projects from each of the startups competing in the final, we will have to wait a little longer – until 3 December – until we discover the name of the winner.
This Thursday saw the week’s second main event, with the final of the Startup Competition of South Summit 2018. A team of 120 experts had chosen us as one of the world’s 100 most innovative startups, from amongst 3000 projects in 84 countries, in the B2B Enterprise Technology category. Alén Space also had its own stand at the Marketplace in South Summit, a prestigious international event with the participation of organisations including NASA, Telefónica, BBVA, Microsoft, IBM, Iberia or Amazon.
