Alén Space, chosen Best Space Startup at the SESA Awards

March 13, 2020

Alén Space has won the Best Space Startup category this evening at the South Europe Startup Awards (SESA), which recognises the best innovative initiatives from Cyprus, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Malta and Portugal. The SESA Awards are part of the Global Startup Awards, which have stood out the best startups on the planet since 2012.

Once the previous phases were overcome, the two other companies that reached the grand finale in the Best Space Startup category were Delox (Portugal) and AIKO (Italy). The SESA Awards finally chose Alén Space, which with its services for the design, manufacture and operation of small satellites “has shown the greatest development over the last year based on growth, innovation and impact with a product/service that uses technology which is on the leading edge of space research and science.”

The grand finale was scheduled for February 27 and 28 in Turin, Italy, but the coronavirus crisis forced the organisation to delay the award ceremony. Finally, the SESA Awards gala has been held this evening through an online format and under the motto #UnstoppableSESA.
