The Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre hosted the third edition of the most important congress of the British aerospace industry, the Space-Comm Expo. For the first time, members of the Alén Space’s team attended this famous event where the entire supply chain related to the design, manufacture and development of space communications products and services is brought together.
During two intense days (7-8 June), more than 150 exhibitors presented their most innovative solutions to the many visitors to the event. In addition, the Space-Comm Expo was a great opportunity for networking and finding investors for sectorial SMEs.
The Space-Comm Expo was also attended by several internationally renowned experts or authorities, such as the European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Tim Peake. They participated in conferences or round tables on the most interesting topics, whether it is the future of the new space economy or the role that new technologies will play in the efficiency of space missions.
Alén Space exhibited its latest innovations
Representing Alén Space, business development director Antón Vázquez and sales engineer María Marante were responsible for the commercial stand assigned to the small satellite company, the F10.
From this corporate booth, the team held different meetings with those commercial leads interested in the services for communication missions, as well as specific meetings with clients and strategic partners for the company.
As Maria points out, “we have been able to see that Space-Comm Expo is one of the most influential events in the space industry and, in the near future, we are looking forward to attending coming editions. Moreover, the UK is a priority market for any company in the sector, due to the global weight of its economy and the prospects of a strong growth of British investment in this field“.
