Alén Space takes part in the SSSIF 2020 forum in Malaga
February 27, 2020
The Spanish Small Satellites International Forum (SSSIF 2020), promoted by DHV Technology and co-organised by Alén Space, has gathered more than 200 attendees from all over the world and from all areas related to the small satellite industry this week in Malaga.
The event, which has been held from Tuesday 25th to Thursday 27th of February, was especially aimed at designers, technicians, developers and launchers of small satellites.
Alén Space has been represented in Malaga by Guillermo Lamelas (CEO), Alberto González (CTO) and Fernando Lucena (CMO), who have enjoyed three intense days of sessions, panels, technical talks and meetings. The feeling the event has left to the Alén Space team could not be better. Beyond the contributions, learning and future perspectives that were shared about the New Space, SSSIF 2020 allowed to establish interesting collaboration and business possibilities for the future.
In addition to its own stand in the forum’s exhibitors area, the Alén Space team has participated in the SSSIF 2020 conference and roundtable program. Within the ‘Outstanding Contributions’ sessions, our colleague Alberto González shared last Tuesday the results in orbit of the Alén Space operations software in the Lume-1 nanosatellite of the University of Vigo (UVigo).
For his part, Guillermo Lamelas was part of the roundtable ‘New Space Industry &Finance’ on Wednesday. Alén Space’s CEO participated in the debate about financing and marketing of small satellites within the revolution that the New Space has meant. Among other things, it was discussed how to prevent and mitigate risks through the application of rigorous production processes, intensive testing and detection and repair processes in the event of possible incidents.
