Alén Space's booth at the ESA CubeSat Industry Days

The fourth edition of the ESA CubeSat Industry Days has gathered the main European companies from the small satellite sector from June 4 to 6. Alén Space has been in Noordwijk, The Netherlands, with the participation of our teammates Alberto González, Operations manager, Diego Hurtado, DSP engineer, and Fernando Lucena, CMO.

Alén Space had its own booth at the event, in which its hardware and software products for nanosatellites were shown, as well as its design, manufacture and operation of small satellite services. The meeting allowed us to make a progress in some business opportunities and to set up collaboration agreements with other important companies within the sector.

The highlight to Alén Space was the presentation of TOTEM, our SDR (Software Defined Radio) platform, currently in orbit within the Lume-1 mission. In addition to its functionalities and its last results, our colleague Diego Hurtado showed some examples of the applications that can be carried out with TOTEM, such as M2M Communications and S band, spectrum monitoring and ADS-B tracking for air traffic control.

From small satellite manufactures to component suppliers, the ESA CubeSat Industry Days demonstrated once again that it is a great opportunity to know first-hand what is being done in Europe within this field and where the industry can move forward short and long-term.

Among the main novelties, the last day of the event was focused in the presentation of different solutions to small satellite propulsion.
